On December 10, the Award Ceremony for 2023 Industry Technology Innovation Conference and the 2022−2023 China Construction Engineering Luban Prize (National Quality Engineering) was held in Beijing. The awards ceremony was hosted by the China Construction Industry Association and co-organized by 9 enterprises including MCC, and the winning projects of MCC made a wonderful appearance. Chen Jianguang, Deputy General Manager and member of the Party Leadership Group of China Minmetals, Secretary of the Party Committee of MCC, and Chairman of MCC and China MCC, attended the ceremony and presented awards to the representatives of the contractors of the winning projects. Wang Zirui, Deputy Chief Engineer and Chief Safety Officer of MCC, attended the ceremony.
In 2022–2023, 24 projects undertaken or participated in by MCC's subsidiaries including China MCC5, Shanghai Baoye, China MCC22, MCC Tiangong, CFMCC, China MCC20, MCC Steel Structure, MCC Construction Engineering, MCC Construction Research Institute, CERI, and China MCC17 won the China Construction Engineering Luban Prize, which reached a new record and increased by 7 projects compared with 2020–2021, with a growth rate of 41%, demonstrating the remarkable achievements of MCC in quality compliance and lean construction.
In recent years, MCC has thoroughly implemented the national strategy of "A Country Strong on Quality", adhered to the striving goal of "One Establishment, the Best and the Most Trusted, and Five Strengths", upheld the quality of excellence, and vigorously carried forward the craftsman spirit and Luban spirit. The enthusiasm and initiative of each subsidiary to create high-quality projects have been significantly enhanced, and the quality management level of enterprises and projects has been improved. In the field of metallurgical construction, 5 winning projects, such as Baogang Zhanjiang Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. Three-blast Furnace System, Linyi Iron & Steel High-quality Special Steel, and Shougang Jingtang Full Continuous Casting and Rolling, have continuously consolidated the status of the national team. In the field of capital construction, 16 winning projects, such as the National Sliding Center, Yiyang "One Park and Two Centers", Universiade Sports Park, Quzhou Sports Center, Tianfu Art Park, and Tianjin Juilliard School, have significantly enhanced the influence of the enterprise and brand reputation. In the field of emerging industries, 3 winning projects, such as Universal Beijing Resort and Yongxiang New Energy Photovoltaic Project in Sichuan, promoted the green and high-quality development of the industry, fully reflected the comprehensive construction strength and value creation ability of MCC in various fields, and contributed to promoting the high-quality development of the construction industry and building China's construction brand.
